What our guests have to say…

Amazing luxurious site, perfect for exploring Cornish coves
I can honestly say that this is the most amazing camp site that I have ever stayed on and that’s in 50 years of camping in the UK and Europe !! The washing facilities are akin to a hotel and disable friendly ! The cafe/bar area is very welcoming and relaxing. The staff are very smiley and helpful. The farm area and play area is a hit with all ages. The food is locally sourced and delicious. Go and see for yourself !!

Excellent!
Wow! I never expected to find a campsite that had that ‘extra wow factor’ ! And that I found at McDonald’s farm campsite.. There was everything I needed to entertain my toddler from a well equipped park including 2 trampolines to a petting farm! The shower blocks and toilets were spotless and you actually forgot you were at a campsite.. The shop had everything you needed and had that nice little touch in the bar where you could have a nice glass of wine on the varander watching the alpacas or sun going down! Wonderful! Last but not least.. The staff! Friendly, helpful and nothing was to much trouble! Definitely will be returning in 2023!

Excellent family friendly campsite
This is our second time visiting the farm. We camped for a week with other family and we were not disappointed. Since last year they have more activities and toys for children. Our boys took part in the pony ride and also experienced feeding the animals and collecting eggs, which they loved. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Although this is a family campsite it is done in a way that means adults can also enjoy themselves. The bar is well stocked and the pizzas are tasty. It is small enough to have a relaxing vibe. Porthcothan bay is a walk or short bus ride (bus recommended on return to avoid the hill). The bay is beautiful with lots of caves to explore and a nice sheltered beach. We will be returning again, this has become a favourite campsite for us now!

Simply brilliant
Simply brilliant. Fantastic family campsite, clean facilities, thoughtful extra such as dog shower with shampoo. Kids 10 and under lived there trampoline and animal tours. Cafe and bar area relaxing and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. An excellent experience- we will be back!

Family friendly, first class facilities, superb location. Brilliant Campsite!
Beautiful and family friendly campsite in a great location. We had a fantastic 5 night stay here with friends. The facilities are absolutely fantastic – it’s lovely to have a combination of a small and independent campsite but with modern and high quality facilities. The pitches are quiet and spacious, and there’s a lot to occupy the kids. The bar and shop make such a difference – the chance to get a decent coffee and breakfast when you can’t be bothered to cook, or great local beers and AMAZING fresh pizza in the evenings, plus a carefully thought through range of extras for when you’ve forgotten something from the supermarket. The bathrooms were really, really lovely. Lots of capacity, really nice fixtures and fittings and powerful hot showers. The family bathrooms are a welcome extra – either for an individual to have a shower and shave, or to ensure that little ones have a proper wash! Porthcothan beach is 2 minutes by car or 15 minutes on foot. It’s a really nice beach with loads of rock pools, decent surf, lifeguards and a charming shop/bar. Tip – take cash for the car park as there’s no reception and so no Ring Go/Just Park option. We also saw a live band on a couple of nights who were brilliant and got everyone on their feet. Plenty of staff on site (although it can get busy at the bar) and the owners are on site, always around, and really lovely and friendly hosts. We will definitely be back.
