(in relation to Macdonald’s Farm including Lost Valley Camping Limited as well as any other associated Macdonald’s Companies)

Please ensure you have read the notifications on all the changes to Macdonald’s Farm from 2020 prior to booking.

We want you to have a peaceful and pleasurable holiday and these Terms and Conditions are set out to safeguard all of our guests at Macdonald’s Farm. Whilst we want to encourage everyone to come and stay with us, we are a quiet family site and will not appeal to groups wanting to party.

There is a ‘no noise’ policy after 10pm.

BOOKINGS

  1. Macdonald’s Farm is a family park and caters for families and couples. We do not accept stag/hen or large groups unless by prior arrangement. Accordingly we can check not only the availability of the requested accommodation, but also party make up. This may affect your automated booking confirmation. Upon arrival, should parties differ from that booked or no prior approval granted, where needed, Macdonald’s Farm reserves the right to refuse access, and no refund will be forthcoming.

  2. The lead booker must be over the age of 25 unless by prior approval.

  3. Upon receipt of deposit, we will send you confirmation showing your outstanding balance which must be paid at least 30 days prior to arrival. Please note that deposits are non-refundable. If booking less than 30 days before arrival full payment will be required at point of booking and your booking will not be confirmed until paid in full. If not paid in full, we reserve the right to re-let the unit without notice.

  4. Macdonald’s Farm will refund any monies paid excluding the deposit, provided we receive written confirmation of cancellation of the entire party at least 30 days before the commencement of your holiday. Any bookings cancelled less than 30 days before arrival will lose 100% of monies paid. Refunds will not be forthcoming if for any reason you should leave early. We recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance that means you will be covered should cancellation happen due to any UK Government restrictions relating to travel and social distancing measures in effect of your booked dates.

  5. If you are unable to travel due to illness, injury, family complications or extreme weather warnings please contact us. We cannot refund any booking but where possible we will always try to reschedule your booking to another date in the same calendar year but please understand this will only be where we have availability and is not a guarantee. We cannot refund any booking within a 30 day period.

  6. Check-in is from 1pm on the day of arrival, and check-out is 10.30am on the day of departure. We reserve the right to delay check-in times if necessary, although you are welcome to use park facilities before that time

  7. Please note that there is no guarantee that pitch/accommodation availability can be extended beyond the dates booked. However we will do our utmost to assist with your request. Please ask at reception.

  8. If for any reason you permanently vacate your pitch earlier than your booking departure date, we reserve the right to re-let your pitch/accommodation. You will not be entitled to a refund.

  9. Data Protection: The information supplied in the booking process will be stored on our computer for the purposes of future distribution to you of our advertising material if you have requested this, and under no circumstances will be passed on to a third party.

  10. We will always endeavour to meet special requests, such as for specific pitches, or for parties wishing to camp on adjoining pitches, but these are not guaranteed and are not a condition of your booking with us.

  11. It is your responsibility to check that the details of your booking confirmation are correct and notify us immediately of any discrepancies. We cannot accept responsibility for any errors not corrected prior to arrival.

  12. Unless you notify us of late arrival your pitch/accommodation will only be held until noon the day after the booked arrival date, (provided full payment has been received) at which time it may be re-let without notice.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  1. There is a ‘no noise’ policy after 10pm. Guests must be considerate with noise levels (including radios, guitars or singing) at all times to protect other guests enjoyment of the Farm.

  2. In the instance of behaviour detrimental to other guests, visitors, staff or property, those deemed responsible by the management will be asked to leave the site. No refunds will be made. Detrimental behaviour includes, but is not limited to; vandalism, inappropriate use of the site, anti-social or disruptive behaviour, any discrimination against, or harassment for reason of sex, race, colour, religion, religious or philosophical belief, nationality, age, ethnic origin, relationship status, disability, sexual orientation or gender re-assignment.

  3. Persons using Macdonald’s Farm and its facilities do so entirely at their own risk. We will not accept liability for the loss or damage to property or persons. We accept no responsibility for accommodation or amenities becoming unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.

  4. Please do not enter any of the animal enclosures or feed the animals any food not sold by us. Any contact with the animals is at your own risk. Please wash your hands after touching the animals. The pony paddock is private and not for public use. We ask that all adults supervise children within the playground area and whilst around the animals.

  5. Food & drink only bought from the premises can be consumed in our Farm Garden.

  6. Please inform us of any problems that occur during your stay as we regret that we cannot rectify any complaints or grievances once you have left the park.

  7. After check-in closes please call the out of hours number situated on main door for someone to help guide you to your pitch.

  8. All park roads and areas are subject to Road Traffic Law. In addition, the site guest speed limit of 5mph should be adhered to at all times. No driving is permitted around the site between 10.00pm and 7am.

  9. Neither commercial vehicles nor generators are permitted without prior approval.

  10. Pitch sizes are a guide and are based on a mean average and may be subject to change.

  11. Any vehicles, trailer, awning & gazebo must fit onto your pitch.

  12. You agree that a breathable ground sheet will be used in your awning and picked up when you are not on site, this allows the grass to recover.

  13. Our pitches are very generous in size and have pitch markers showing boundary lines. You must stay within your boundary markers and adhere to 6 metres between units at all times. Please ensure that you don’t block other guests from entering or exiting the site.

  14. We do NOT allow car charging onsite. If this is ignored you will be charged an extra £25 for each day of your stay per car

  15. All electrical pitches are designed for low wattage electrical items.

  16. Well behaved dogs are welcome at Macdonald’s Farm, but must be kept on a lead at all times in the main camping field and in the Farm Garden. We have a dog exercise area at the bottom of the site. Dogs are not permitted to stay outside any accommodation overnight *excluding Guide Dogs. Owners must clean up their dog’s mess anywhere on the site. Please be careful with your dogs around our animals and other guests. Badly behaved dogs and their owners will be asked to leave.

  17. We only sell alcohol to persons 18 years or over, and we reserve the right to request to see an approved form of identification – passport, photo driving licence or valid identification card when purchasing alcohol on site. We exercise a Challenge 25 policy, and reserve the right to refuse to serve alcohol to anyone, regardless of age, at the management’s discretion.

  18. Use of barbeques and small firepits are allowed at Macdonald’s Farm, but customers must comply with the guidance governing their safe usage. They must be in suitable containers and a minimum of 30cm above the grass, bricks will be provided. Please make yourself aware of the nearest fire point when using fire pits or BBQs. Please note there will be a £35.00 charge for any grass burnt on your pitch. All ash must be put in the bins provided and not disposed of anywhere on site.

  19. Rubbish bags should be placed in the main site bins. Do not leave any rubbish either on your pitch or the park area. Do not place any items other than general household waste in the bins. Items such as tents, chairs, BBQ packaging, duvets, pillows, wind breaks and body boards etc. can be disposed of at the local recycling centre in Newquay. For directions please ask at reception. Anyone found to be disposing of non-general household waste on the site may be asked to leave.

  20. We do not allow supermarket deliveries on site. You can order takeaways to be collected in our car park – delivery drivers must not enter the campsite.

  21. In circumstances where a customer’s own vehicle/equipment is involved in an accident/incident Macdonald’s Farm reserve the right to close or restrict access to areas affected. We will salvage or remove vehicles or equipment at our discretion. In circumstances where the accident/incident was caused by the customer/ anyone in the booked party/ by their vehicle/ equipment, the owner will indemnify Macdonald’s Farm against all damage, claims, costs, demands, acts or omissions whatsoever arising and make reparation to Macdonald’s Farm any resultant costs, damages or losses (consequential or otherwise) relating thereto.

  22. The use, possession or storage of firearms, air or gas operated rifles or pistols, items of an explosive nature (including fireworks) or any other offensive weapon is not permitted.

  23. We do not allow the use of drones, kite flying or motorised toys onsite.

  24. You are welcome to have visitors during your stay, but in the interests of health and safety, they must register with reception upon arrival.If your visitors are entering the Farm area they will need to pay the daily entrance fee at reception.

  25. Only one discount or special offer can be applied per booking. Once booked any offers that subsequently may be come available, such as last-minute offers, cannot be applied to an existing booking.

  26. Fire and other regulations on the Farm will be strictly enforced.

  27. We reserve the right to refuse bookings from parties, or to request parties to leave Macdonald’s Farm, that may have a ‘negative’ effect to others, without notice or refund.

  28. All Macdonald’s Farm buildings and accommodation are strictly NON-SMOKING. If smoking please ensure you extinguish your cigarettes correctly in the fire bins provided.

  29. St. Eval Parish Hall to the right of the Farm is private property and no one must enter the land or the building without prior permission from the Parish Council.

  30. The lead name on the booking will be responsible for all payments and the behaviour of all party members.

  31. We reserve the right to refuse entry into any facility, or the provision of any service or accommodation to any person if they appear to be physically or mentally impaired by the consumption of alcohol or use of recreational drugs.

  32. Macdonald’s Farm reserves the right to terminate any booking at any time, without compensation or refund if our terms and conditions are not adhered too.

SELF-CATERING & GLAMPING ACCOMMODATION

  1. A refundable ‘deposit’ of £200 is required for stays in our Glamping area, which covers loss, theft and damage. This will be taken upon on arrival and refunded accordingly upon inspection of the accommodation. If any member of your party including dogs causes damage to our property – the full extent of the damage will be charged and is not limited to deposit paid. 

  2. We are able to accommodate well-behaved dogs (non-aggressive, loud or chewers)in 2 of our Safari lodges – Treyarnon & Porthcothan plus Mawgies & The Potting Barn. Please note the Glamping area is child friendly so please keep your dogs on leads at all times.
     
  3. All accommodation should be left in a reasonable state upon departure. Please leave it in the condition in which you find it, and notify reception of any missing/broken items in order for us to replace or repair them. Liability rests with the named party leader.

  4. All beds used by small children must be protected by the waterproof sheets supplied. Any mattresses found soiled or wet will be replaced and guests will be charged for the cost of replacement.

  5. Check-in is from 3pm on the day of arrival, and check-out is 10.30am on the day of departure. We reserve the right to delay check-in times if necessary, although you are welcome to use park facilities before that time.

  6. The total number of persons occupying the accommodation must not exceed the number booked and only guests that are registered on your booking are permitted to stay.

  7. Macdonald’s Farm reserves the right to enter the accommodation under special circumstances or emergencies, at any time.

  8. Macdonald’s Farm shall be absolved of any liability should the holiday accommodation be unavailable for reasons beyond their control especially due to inclement weather.

  9. No liability can be accepted for any loss, injury or damage, either to individuals or their property, arising from or by reason of the occupation of any accommodation, and the use of any facilities or equipment provided or made available for use by the person or persons occupying and using the accommodation, or by any other person or persons using the accommodation by their invitation or permission. The use of all facilities within the accommodation, park grounds and buildings is at the sole risk of the persons using them.

Macdonald’s Farm reserves the right to change its terms and conditions at any time without notification.
